2015 Henri Bourgeois La Vigne Blanche Sancerre

2015 Henri Bourgeois La Vigne Blanche Sancerre

The Bourgeois family has been producing wine in the Sancerre region of the Loire Valley for generations. Located in the small village of Chavignol, surrounded by some of the greatest Sauvignon Blanc vines in the world. Their wines continue to impress across the range, from entry to single vineyard bottling. These classic examples are well worth experiencing.

When I think about textbook Sancerre this wine always comes to mind. It is a beautiful example of classic Sancerre, showing balance fruit and grassy notes.

Style - Vibrant and fresh, medium bodied white wine

Tell me about the grape - Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a white grape variety that has been planted around the world, but was originally from the Central Vineyards in the Loire Valley, France. The French examples tend to be more restrained than Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, whilst still retaining its grassy vegetal flavours.

Serving suggestion - 6-8*C
