2013 Henri Bourgeois Jadis Sancerre

2013 Henri Bourgeois Jadis Sancerre

The Bourgeois family has been producing wine in the Sancerre region of the Loire Valley for generations. Located in the small village of Chavignol, surrounded by some of the greatest Sauvignon Blanc vines in the world. Their wines continue to impress across the range, from entry to single vineyard bottling. These classic examples are well worth experiencing.

From a single vineyard on the iconic slopes surrounding Chavignol. The Jadis is a beautiful expression of what can be achieved with Sauvignon Blanc in the region, showing great weight and depth of flavour. A great wine to drink now, or in years to come.

Style - Intense and complex, serious white wine

Tell me about the grape - Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a white grape variety that has been planted around the world, but was originally from the Central Vineyards in the Loire Valley, France. The French examples tend to be more restrained than Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, whilst still retaining its grassy vegetal flavours.
