2015 Ca’ del Baio Langhe Nebbiolo Bric del Baio

Located in Barbaresco in the Northern Italian region of Piedmont, Ca’ del Baio is going from strength to strength with each passing vintage. The wines continue to over deliver, with the Nebbiolo grape the focus this wines are worth exploring across the range.

Ca'del Baio offers outstanding value for the region; basically the wine is a baby Barbaresco that spends less time in barrels. This is great entry to what Nebbiolo in the region has to offer.

Style - Exciting and intense, structured red wine

Tell me about the grape - Nebbiolo

One of the two greatest Italian red grape varieties, the other being Sangiovese. Nebbiolo is an iron fist in a velvet glove, it can look pale in the glass, but aromas of sour cherry, leather, spice, earth, and dried flowers are common. The structure of the wine shows grippy tannins and mouth-watering acidity.

 Serving suggestion - 16-18*C

You may like this if you drink - Sangiovese/Chianti or Rioja
